Flux-Cored Wire ER71T-11
Description
E71T-11 is a self-shielded flux-cored wire used for welding carbon steels. It does not require shielding gas and can be used in limited multi-pass welding operations.
To use flux when welding, you must first apply it to the surface you are going to weld. Then, you can proceed with normal welding using solder. The flux will evaporate during the welding process, leaving a clean surface ready for the solder to adhere.
Flux assists in welding and desoldering processes by removing oxide films that form on the surface of the metals being joined. For gasless welding. (No gas required for welding)
