Low hydrogen for demanding structural joints
Kiswel K-7018 (AWS E7018) is a basic, low-hydrogen iron-powder electrode for 490 N/mm² class high-strength steels. Made in Korea and approved by the leading classification societies, it stands out for its DC operability and a deposit with very good toughness. In 3.25 mm, the most versatile diameter, it performs in root, fill and out-of-position welding.
Key advantages
- Low hydrogen: lower cracking risk in higher-strength steels.
- High toughness: 90 J Charpy impact at -29 °C.
- Iron powder: good deposition efficiency.
- All positions: flat, vertical and overhead.
- Certified quality: ABS, BV, CWB, DNV, GL, KR, LR and NK.
Applications
- Shipbuilding and bridges.
- Storage tanks and building structures.
- Industrial and mining machinery.
- 490 N/mm² class high-strength steels.
