Molybdenum cellulosic electrode for X42 to X56 pipelines
Lincoln Electric Shield-Arc® 85 (AWS E7010-A1) is a 0.5% molybdenum cellulosic electrode and a classic for vertical-down pipe welding. It offers good penetration and a strong deposit for API 5L X42 to X56 pipe. In 3.20 mm, the most versatile diameter, it handles most passes on common pipe wall thicknesses.

Technician's tip: use the electrodes straight from the metal can, without re-drying: the cellulosic coating needs to keep its natural moisture to maintain penetration. Once opened, use the can within the shift or close it tightly.
