Description
For joining and surfacing Al-Si alloys with a Silicon content of up to 7%, as well as various aluminum alloys from the 6XXX series, 5XXX series (up to 2.5% Mg), and aluminum types 1100, 1350, and 3003. It is recommended for the maintenance and repair of components in the chemical, food, and agro-industrial sectors, as well as in boiler-making, mold fabrication and repair, casting defect correction, and for containers used in the paper and oil industries.
Highlights
UTP 485 features a fast strike, clean and flat flow, and dense, pore-free deposits. To achieve excellent joints in sheets 2 mm thick and above, its coating contains fluxes that help stabilize the arc properly. The arc is smooth and easy to control.
