UTP DUR 600MP Wire

Description

Gas-shielded, metal-cored tubular wire designed for hardfacing surfaces resistant to wear caused by compression, impact, and friction.

This exceptional alloy features a martensitic structure that allows for welding in horizontal and vertical-up positions. It is ideal for surfacing components subjected to high friction combined with moderate impact and low abrasion. The deposit can only be machined by grinding, and the buildup thickness depends on the welding procedure used.

The UTP AF DUR 600 MP is a high-performance, slag-free metal-cored wire designed for hardfacing applications, conforming to the DIN 8555: MF 6-GF-60 standard. It provides a high hardness range of 55 to 60 HRC using MIX 20 shielding gas, making it ideal for the ceramic industry, component reclamation, and the maintenance of blades and knives. This product is available in 15 kg spools at a price that includes VAT (Value Added Tax).

Application Field

  • Excellent for the reconstruction of metal parts subjected to combined stresses of compression, impact, and friction. Typical applications include:
  • Crusher jaws and ore diverter plates.
  • Pumping systems for solids (gravel or medium-sized minerals).
  • Conveyor chains and coal pulverizer disks.
  • Clay pressing molds in the ceramic and flooring industry.
  • Special Application: Base, sub-base, and lateral hardfacing (sugar mill roll "blindaje") in the sugar industry.

Welding Instructions

Clean the area to be recovered. When welding tool-grade steels, preheat between 350–400 °C. Use either drag or push techniques with spray arc or short-circuit arc transfer, maintaining the stick-out specified in the parameters table. For hardfacing cast iron sugar mill rolls, preheating is not required; however, a preheat of 80 °C may be used solely to remove moisture.

Recommended Parameters
