A36TZ Special Cutting Disc

Description

Kronenflex cutting discs in the Special performance class are distinguished by high cutting performance combined with a long service life. They are optimized for machining stainless steel and steel. These cutting discs are suitable for use on portable angle grinders. They achieve high aggressiveness during material removal even with relatively low contact pressure.

Highlights

  • Since the abrasive grain is manufactured using synthetic processes, it boasts consistent high quality. They are divided into three classes: Extra, Supra, and Special. The Special category meets the highest demands in material machining, not only for stainless steel. All cutting discs comply with European safety standards and are tested according to oSa guidelines.
  • An optimal result is only achieved by using the cutting discs appropriate for the material in question and the angle grinder used.
  • To facilitate initial guidance, Kronenflex cutting discs feature color coding. Discs with a blue cloud on the label are intended for machining stainless steel.
  • Another important criterion is the correct hardness of the disc. In this context, the rule applies: the harder the material to be machined, the softer the bond holding the grain in the abrasive disc should be. If the bond is too hard, excessive heat is generated during operation. Consequently, the material being cut becomes soft and smears, clogging the abrasive grain and glazing the disc. It must then be replaced much sooner.
  • Another crucial factor in achieving a good result and long service life is the proper cutting speed. The optimal speed is slightly below the maximum permissible speed of the disc in question.
  • On Klingspor Kronenflex cutting discs, this is always printed on the metal ring. After this date, the discs may no longer be used. Before inserting the disc into the angle grinder, it should be inspected for any potential defects.
  • For safety reasons, damaged cutting discs should no longer be used, and exceeding the maximum permissible speed is strictly forbidden.
