Description
The Kronenflex A 60 Extra cutting-off wheels are intended for use on angle grinders. With a thickness of 1.0 mm, these cutting-off wheels are extremely thin. For this reason, they are ideal for cutting thin tubes or for cutting sheet metal and profiles. With reduced low pressure, these Kronenflex cutting-off wheels achieve high operating speeds. The products are optimized for machining stainless steel and metal.
Highlights
Klingspor specifies a maximum permissible speed for each Kronenflex cutting-off wheel to achieve an optimal grinding result. For safety reasons, exceeding this speed is not permitted. Users achieve the best grinding results at a speed slightly below the maximum permissible specification. If the speed drops too low, the cutting-off wheel tends to bounce. Consequently, the edge of the wheel wears unevenly, which can impair the work results and, in the worst case, render the wheel unusable. The pressure applied should be chosen so that the wheel glides quickly through the material. Insufficient pressure prolongs the cutting time, which quickly causes high temperatures to be reached.
Properties
- These relatively hard cutting-off wheels offer high aggressiveness and a long service life.
- Due to the reduced wheel thickness of 1.0 mm, burr formation is minimal. For the same reason, the thermal load on both the workpiece and the wheel is kept to a minimum.
- To provide these Kronenflex cutting-off wheels with the necessary stability, they are reinforced with glass fibre mesh. The aluminium oxide abrasive grain is positioned between the different layers of the glass fibre mesh.
- Aluminium oxide features a block-shaped grain made of irregular crystals. It is hard and tough. Since only synthetically manufactured aluminium oxide is used, Klingspor ensures the uniform quality of every single wheel.
