The non-woven web flap disc is designed for use in metalworking shops and industry, as well as for demanding DIY users. The SMT 800 is suitable for finishing stainless steel and steel.

This flap disc combines high material removal efficiency with a uniform scratch pattern. Safely and quickly removes burrs, weld seams, and scratches from stainless steel workpieces. At the same time, the non-woven web flap disc is gentle on the material and leaves a perfect surface finish with a uniform scratch pattern.
The SMT 800 Special is used on high-speed angle grinders (80 m/s). The best results are achieved on speed-controlled angle grinders.

The core of the SMT 800 Special flap disc consists of flaps made from a special non-woven web. This material is optimized for surface refining. The abrasive grain is applied evenly around the flaps. This ensures a constant removal rate, as the non-woven web continually exposes fresh abrasive grain during use.
A backing plate made of special woven glass fibre serves as the base for the non-woven flaps. This allows loss-free power transmission to the workpiece, achieving an exact and homogenous surface finish on stainless steel. The bond between the flaps and the backing plate is formed through a specialized manufacturing process.
The SMT 800 Special model fully complies with Klingspor standards, far exceeding the requirements of the EN 13743 safety standard and all specs of the oSa directives.
