When grinding steel and stainless steel, these abrasive discs provide a good removal rate without the risk of glazing, even under reduced application pressure. The self-sharpening zirconia alumina ensures excellent durability of the abrasive flap disc.
Extremely Durable Plastic Backing Plate
The fiberglass-reinforced plastic backing plate forms the base of the abrasive disc, ensuring optimal power transmission to the workpiece. A specialized manufacturing process provides the zirconia alumina abrasive flaps with an extremely high adhesion to the backing plate. This exceeds the levels required by the EN 13743 safety standard, thereby increasing workplace safety. Nevertheless, it is of fundamental importance to use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with the abrasive flap disc. This should include eye and hearing protection, a dust mask, and gloves.
