ER4043 TIG Filler Rod
Description
4043 filler rod is one of the most widely used welding alloys. The alloy is used for welding AlMgSi types and AlSi alloys with up to 7% silicon. Not recommended for anodizing. Cannot be heat treated.
Aluminum filler rod, it is one of the most widely used welding alloys for general repair and fabrication, for TIG welding with 100% argon as a shielding gas. ER4043 is one of the most common because its characteristics provide a reduced risk of cracking.
Used in weldable castings and wrought aluminum alloys. Generally recommended for welding 5052, any 6XXX series alloy, and castings. Embossed/stamped at each end for easy identification after use.
