Hook and Loop Disc PS 33 CK
Description
Specially designed for use on a random orbital sander, the Klingspor PS 33 CK abrasive disc features a hook-and-loop self-fastening system. With its reliable hook-and-loop backing, the disc can be easily mounted by pressing it onto the machine's sanding pad. Thanks to the full-surface attachment, the abrasive disc lies flat and remains firmly in place. Due to its characteristics, this abrasive product is the ideal choice for sanding paint, lacquer, wood, and filler.
Klingspor offers these abrasive papers in various diameters and hole patterns, making them compatible with all standard sanders. Additionally, non-perforated abrasive discs are universally applicable. When using non-perforated abrasive papers, dust extraction is not possible.
Highlights
- Klingspor PS 33 CK abrasive papers are equipped with aluminum oxide grains in a semi-open coat distribution. Synthetic aluminum oxide is distinguished by its hardness and toughness, ensuring a high removal rate and a long service life.
- The aluminum oxide grains feature irregular shapes ranging from wedges to blocks. Thanks to their crystalline properties, aluminum oxide abrasive products deliver efficient results.
- The semi-open grain distribution is ideal for processing wood, paint, and lacquer surfaces. With this distribution, the spaces between grains are large enough to allow for the clearance of sanding debris and dust. Consequently, waste does not clog between the grains, helping to extend the tool's service life.
- As a backing for the PS 33 CK abrasive disc, Klingspor uses a paper backing (C-weight paper). This is a medium-weight paper that can easily be cut, torn, or folded.
- To work on hard-to-reach areas with the random orbital sander, the abrasive paper can also be folded or torn to allow for manual sanding.
- The aluminum oxide grains are bonded to the paper backing with synthetic resin and finished with a resin topcoat. This finishing coat gives the abrasive paper its color and provides additional support against the lateral forces acting on the grain during sanding.
- When starting the sanding work, the top resin layer covering the grain wears off automatically, ensuring it does not impair sanding performance.
