Hook and Loop Disc PS 33 CK
Description
Specially designed for use on a random orbital sander, the PS 33 CK abrasive disc by Klingspor features a hook and loop system. With its reliable hook and loop backing, the disc can be easily mounted by pressing it onto the sanding pad of the machine. Thanks to the full-surface attachment, the abrasive disc remains smooth and firmly secured. Due to its characteristics, this abrasive product is the right choice for sanding work on paint, varnish, wood, and filler.
Klingspor offers abrasive papers in various diameters and hole patterns, making them compatible with all standard sanders. Additionally, non-perforated abrasive discs are universally usable. When using non-perforated abrasive papers, dust extraction is not possible.
Highlights
- Klingspor PS 33 CK abrasive papers are equipped with aluminum oxide grains in a semi-open coat. Synthetic aluminum oxide stands out for its hardness and toughness. Consequently, this abrasive disc ensures a high removal rate and a long service life.
- Aluminum oxide grains have irregular shapes ranging from wedges to blocks. Thanks to their crystalline properties, aluminum oxide abrasive products deliver efficient results.
- The semi-open grain distribution is ideal for processing wood, paint, and varnish surfaces. With this pattern, the spaces between grains are large enough to allow for the clearance of sanding residue and dust. As a result, debris does not clog between grains, which helps extend service life.
- As the backing for the PS 33 CK abrasive disc, Klingspor uses a paper backing (C-paper). This is a medium-weight paper that can be easily cut, torn, and folded.
- To process hard-to-reach areas with the random orbital sander, the abrasive paper can also be folded or torn to allow for hand sanding.
- The aluminum oxide grains are bonded to the paper backing using synthetic resin and are provided with a synthetic resin topcoat. This size coat gives the abrasive paper its color and serves as additional support against lateral forces acting on the grain during sanding.
- When starting the sanding work, the synthetic resin layer covering the grain is automatically worn away, so it does not impair sanding performance.
