RG-100-AR Gas Saver
Description
When performing welding work that requires frequent interruptions, turning off the torch becomes extremely inconvenient because readjusting it upon each reignition is tedious. On the other hand, leaving it lit wastes a significant amount of fuel.
These losses are avoided by using an RG-100-AR GAS SAVER. Instead of leaving the torch flame burning, the torch is hung on the saver's lever. The downward pressure cuts off the gas flow, extinguishing the flame.
When the torch is unhooked, the lever returns to its original position, restoring the gas flow. This allows the torch to be relit via a low-consumption pilot light without needing to readjust the gas mixture.
Built from forged and drawn brass, this unit features leak-proof sealing with an O-ring system. It comes equipped with two internal anti-return check valves—one for oxygen and one for acetylene.
For optimal use, mount the gas saver near your workspace in the most convenient position for hanging and unhooking the torch. Connect the supply hoses from the regulator to the unit's inlet, and connect the torch to the outlet approximately one meter away from the gas saver, saving up to 40% in fuel.
