Description
For joining and surfacing Al-Si alloys with a Silicon content up to 7%, as well as for various aluminum alloys from the 6XXX series, 5XXX series (up to 2.5% Mg), and aluminum types 1100, 1350, and 3003. It is recommended for use in the maintenance and repair of components in the chemical, food, and agro-industrial sectors, as well as in plate work (boilermaking), mold manufacturing and repair, correction of casting defects, and for containers used in the paper and oil industries.
Highlights
UTP 485 features rapid ignition, clean and flat flow, and dense, pore-free deposits. To achieve excellent joints in sheets with a thickness of 2 mm or greater, its coating contains fluxes that help stabilize the arc properly. The arc is smooth and easy to control.
