Description
CS 561 vulcanized fibre discs for steel and non-ferrous metals feature very high stock removal rates. Thanks to the synthetic resin bond, this product is sturdy, durable, and long-lasting. Available in all standard industry diameters, the CS 561 offers the widest selection in Klingspor's fibre disc product line. The extensive range of grit sizes makes the CS 561 a versatile abrasive product for: metal, non-ferrous metals, plastic, and wood.
Highlights
- This abrasive disc consists of a composite material backing with multiple layers of heavy paper and a close-coated aluminum oxide grain. The bond holding the grain on the backing is a synthetic resin-based adhesive.
- They are used on angle grinders. Thanks to the wide range of available grit sizes, the CS 561 abrasive disc has multiple applications.
- In medium and fine grit sizes, high stock removal is achieved on steel and non-ferrous metals. In coarser grit sizes, the CS 561 model can even be used for wood or plastic. Its sturdy construction allows operation at very high rotational speeds.
- The choice of the appropriate backing pad significantly influences the sanding process. Basically, two types of backing pads are available:
- ST 358 backing pad: medium-hard and smooth
- ST 358 A backing pad: hard and ribbed
- The medium-hard backing pad is suitable for achieving a uniform finish and flexibly adapts to the contour of the workpiece. It is ideal for finer sanding, contouring, and rounding edges. If heavy-duty sanding operations requiring high stock removal are needed, the CS 561 is used on hard backing pads. The hard backing pad is particularly suitable for deburring and edge breaking.
