- The Klingspor NFW 600 S model is designed for satin or matte finishing of stainless steel and other metals. Satin surfaces still show a subtle fine structure, also referred to as a satin scratch pattern. During finishing, the workpiece receives a continuous diffuse reflection.
- The purpose of this surface refinement is usually aesthetic, which is why it is preferred for use on furniture or frames. With this non-woven drum, the contact pressure exerted on the workpiece is transmitted with precision. This allows for detailed influence over the visual effect.
- The finishing drum consists of a synthetic resin core to which special non-woven flaps are radially bonded. Aluminum oxide is applied to these flaps as the abrasive material. It possesses high toughness, making it resistant to cracking or breakage. The resulting low wear behavior ensures high cost-effectiveness.
- A maximum speed of 19 m/s is ideal for achieving an optimal result with the finishing drum. At this speed, the flaps align vertically due to centrifugal force. If the speed is too low, the flaps remain excessively curved. This affects the machining quality and the wear of the drum.
- In order to ensure perfect operation, the drum diameter and speed must be in an optimal ratio. If the machine speed is adjustable, it should be set according to the selected drum size. If the equipment does not have speed control, a suitable drum should be chosen from Klingspor's wide range of products.
- The NFW 600 S model complies with the European standard EN 13743 and also meets the strict requirements of the oSa directives.
